Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

Some unpleasant miscreant was firing incessant database queries at our server, which forced the Legal Department of our hosting company, via their Abuse subdivision, to shut us down. No I have none.
All I can do it button the hatches, and tighten up a few things. Such as time limits on how long you may take to compose a post and hit Debauch! As of 24/01/10, I've set that at 30 minutes for now.

So there's this baseball thing going on here. It makes my whole day to see tv crews from texas invading San Fran and getting the shock of their lives. Transvestites singing the national anthem, remote access from the Castro and this:

CoC can attest the the prevalence of the kind stuff here:

All the sportscasters here are douchebags. Plus most everyone here only cares about the Cowboys. Now of course everyone is walking around in Rangers gear. Anyway, on a personal note, I've been following the Rangers since I was 8 years old. We took down the evil empire this year so I'm satisfied. I got tickets to Game 3 here in Arlington so I can see the World Champion San Francisco Giants.

Everyone down here did the same thing last year when the out-of-losertown Devil Rays made it to the series. Suddenly all the Buccaneers jerseys went away and now every keeps talking about Carlos Pena. Oh, the same thing happened when the Lightning won The Cup a few years back. Fair weather fans rule.

No contest, Gunnie.. Pot is good for business, especially concessions. Beer is good for getting pissed off. Giant fans have been pissed off for too long, pot helps them keep their mellow, beer will just lead to fights.

That said, even though I'm a Dodger fan, I'm pulling for the Gints--much more loyal fans, period, and there's no one worth hating on the team, unlike most other Giant teams. I like these guys.

Plus they'rte playing a Texas team, so yeah, one more, Giants. I only hope Texas wins tonight so SF can win it at home.

But yeah, the Giants have trannies opening their games, the Rangers invite Bush I and II.

I know things, Rollie. Knowing things makes guessing easy. But only if you're me, which you aren't I think.
