The game FOTONICA is in the running for Kongregate's inaugural Unity game contest, but despite being the best game on there, is in danger of falling out of the top 25 and contention when the deadline hits tomorrow.
It's sort of Tron meets Canabalt, with some psychoactives thrown in. Basically, you run very fast, and jump, in first-person, in a straight line, in a retro-computer landscape. Somehow it really captures the sensation of speed (and of falling!) despite the simple graphics. The 2 guys who made it are cool shits too, and could use some of that sweet sweet prize money to make more games that don't suck.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun had a few words about it, they said "It is important that you play this. It’s free, so you’ve got no excuse."
It looks like this.

Not impressed? Watch this.

Or just go play it. And, if you are inclined, rate it with some stars, which requires a Kongregate account, unfortunately, but it's free.
