Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

If you cannot Debauch because you get an IP blacklist error, try Debauching again time. It may work immediately, it may take a few attempts. It will work eventually, I don't think I had to click debauch more than three times. Someone is overzealous at our hosting company, but only on the first couple of attempts.

You know the email (if you don't, see in the registration info below), you know where to find the Administerrerrerr on the Midget Circus.

Some unpleasant miscreant was firing incessant database queries at our server, which forced the Legal Department of our hosting company, via their Abuse subdivision, to shut us down. No I have none.
All I can do it button the hatches, and tighten up a few things. Such as time limits on how long you may take to compose a post and hit Debauch! As of 24/01/10, I've set that at 30 minutes for now.

To restrict further overloads, any unregistered users had to be locked out.
How do we know who is or isn't an unregistered user?
By forcing anyone who wants in to Log In.
Is that annoying?
Yes. But there's only so much the Administerrerrerr can do to keep this place running.

WOW that is crazy

FUCK

ME

SIDEWAYS.

Ok, that's horrifying. Seriously. The 300Z is a no-joke car, and the VF750 is a motherfucker of a bike... and they both get dusted.

Wow. Just wow. I have no need to compete at that speed. I'll be happy on either the Z or the VF. Fuck the sportbike.

That video was absolutely fantastic. If you had asked me to place money on it, I would have put it on the car with that kind of lead time.

Shows how fast the 500s were even then, and how talented Spencer is.

It bums me out sometimes that I didn't get into GP until the 4 strokes took over.

I found it especially amusing that he took his time putting on his helmet and gloves. You know, because there wasn't any hurry.

And somehow it strikes me funny hearing "a-ring-ding-ding" coming from a fully-faired bike.
There's no such thing as "too Mad Max."

There's no way a 190 horse 270 # factory gp bike was going to get dusted.

Unless I was riding it!

Hmmmm, maybe drop it down to a 30 second movie, add in some splash screens and make it a public service announcement on television...

Ya Know, Why the fuck not? We have at least one aspiring film guy here (probably more) and a few writers, not to mentions graphic folx. Knock out a script or whatever the shot plan is called and try and make up a few quick 15-30 second spots. The way that kind of shit gets around the net it's sure to make rounds.................

That really is awesome, but you are putting a factory race bike at the top of it's class against a street car. Try putting against a CART or other open wheel genuine race car. There is still no match for cornering ability than having 4 wheels, 900HP and the suspension and aero dynamics to use it.

That said, if you don't have this type of car, please get out of our way.
