That blew my mind. I keep looking for evidence of fakery, but I can't find it.
It must be fake.
It must.

No way.
Launching into a lake or some large body of water, sure. Shooting oneself over a field to hit a small swimming pool? If that shits real, someones damn good at math and has a solid set of cahones.

Wild!
There's a bit more at the site whose address pops up at the end of the vid.
Megawhoosh
It appears to be a crazy German with a dream to build an unfeasably large waterslide. This I applaud. Or maybe its an ad campaign for Microsoft. Not sure.

How to put the Fun in Unemployment! "Hey boys, grab a couple a pints and let's head over to this here hill, I got this thing I want to show ya!
Used my dole money for the pool and I've been working on the ramp while the Missus is at work.... "

I don't want to call bullshit because well, damn.
But unless he or the slide / pool is miked I don't think you are not going to be able to hear all that from the cameras distance.
Unless they have a parabolic microphone or something.
Math is awesome.

Well, he's moving while airborne, so I'm gonna go ahead and think it's real, and really fucking jangleplatz!

It would be so awesome if that could actually be done...I think I'm going to post this on the Mythbusters forum, they do do the odd youtube special...
Also, why is this thread all weird looking?

Hm...still looks weird. And it was already on the mythbusters forums, but I added some enthusiasm.

after a couple more rewatchings i'd say that the slide and pool had to have mics by them or the sound effects were added later.
because the splash in the pool is heard at the same time it occurs. if the mic was at the camera, there would have been a delay.
the guy could have a wireless mic on his self, but wouldn't that have screwed up when he hit water?

I would say that any decent field-use condenser microphone would pick up much of that ambient noise, as well as the landing. However, as he starts the run, you can hear the quality of sound change, and I'd imagine that would be when they switch to some kind of mic on his person. Why we don't hear him screaming for his mother whilst dropping the most prodigious shit in his swimsuit I cannot easily explain.
I am deeply offended that he didn't shit himself.

You're all joking right?
Watch the pool on landing, it doesn't move. At that speed and distance if he actually landed in the pool he would either flip the thing over or blast right through the back side of it. I have no mathematical proof of any kind to support this but it just don't look right to me. I call bullshit.

Well, on Mythbusters after they disprove something, they try to figure out how to do it for real.
Just a thought, for those of you who are unemployed and bored.
well, we've already got the helmets, and the insanity required... The CO cell probably has the hills necessary...

Bullshit. Microsoft are just trying to play it down: "No, this could never happen in reality. No-one has the maths or balls to do this. You can, however, pretend you performed such a stunt and/or show off to your friends your mighty Video Editing Fu (patent pending)".
People, don't give up the dream. Ride your waterslides to the Great Unknown!

We all knew it was fake, due to all kinds of clues (two little water buckets? Legs not broken?). Just the same, it is hard not to hold out hope in spite of all the signs.
