Yup. After 4 years of not getting back to where I'm from I've finally found the kismet of free time and cash to make the trip. The Missus, The Almost 1 year old, and myself will be flying to Aus for an almost 2 week trip.



Very excited. Highlights will be:

Fish and Chips. Shark is the most common pescatorial delight and I plan to eat a metric shit-ton.

Pub Food. Decent steak, medium rare, with 13 or so pints of Guinness to wash down the goodness.

Meat Pie. Lots of meat pies. Haven't had one for so long I'm almost forgetting how to say meat pie. MEAT PIE!

Wine. Drink wine. I've got a few cases of assorted bottles that I'd put aside long ago for special occasions, and this feels special enough to give the hoard a good dent.

AJS. I'm going to do the best I can to talk my uncle into giving me one of his '48 AJS 500's. He has a couple that aren't doing much, so I think I'll test his sense of philanthropy.

Good luck on the AJS mate, and have fun. My inlaws are going Down Under to teach a class in the spring (fall, depending on your hemisphere) adn I am trying SOOOOOO hard to get invited along as a ghillie.
