Another wonderful creation by The Madagascar Institute. They created a 2 person carousel by attaching a par of small jet engines (the kind from WW2 cruise missile engines) to a pair of swings on a fixed center axis. Action starts at 1:23.

Fixed.

I'd love to have that in my back yard.

I'd love to see something like this powered by an actual V1 engine...except you'd need to accelerate it to some significant speed before the reed-valve striaght-flow engine will fire up.

Crazy-ass cool, though!

Oh, good idea. Like you wouldn't borrow a little something from work to make it bit more exciting. Can I call dibs on the KLR now? :D

The V1 pulse jet engines spawned some milestones in two-stroke motorcycle performance tech

Walter Kaaden & Co eventually figured out expansion chambers after having worked on V1 stuff in WWII:

And then Ernst Degner used his massive lead in the Swedish GP to ride off into the woods where no one could see him to hand over himself and his race-suit stuffed with blueprints to the Suzuki reps who would bring this technology to the west.

I've actually ridden something very similar, but way more dangerous. Also powered by pulse jet. I walked away with only minor injuries. (It looked like I had breast implants in my quadriceps from the bruising... Long story.)
