Anyone have the means to transfer vhs to dvd? A friend loaned me his copy of The Rugged Road
http://www.panther-publishing.com/defau ... ntentID=29, along with a vhs tape of footage shot during the journey described in the book. I don't have a vhs player anymore.

I can't imagine a VHS player being more than 10 or 15 bucks.
Of course, that doesn't help with making the rest of us digital copies so as we can watch it, too!!!

I have a VHS player. I have never tried hooking it up to my computer and know nothing about transferring video to digital media. You're welcome to give it a shot or borrow the VCR next time you come down south.

We have a little TV/VCR combo unit you can borrow if you just want to watch it, Thom. I think it has composite out too, so you might could route it to a PC with a decent video card and rip it to digital that way.
Can't remember if you have my digits or not, I'll PM them over. LMK if you want to borrow it for a while.

Thanks!

I'll ping ya if I decide to take you up on that. Depends on if I can get some free time before I feel obligated to return it.
