If you look closely even a minute after the crash there is a white foam at the stern, seems the engine is stuck at "full ahead" probably no one on the bridge, at least no one is awake.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I got to wondering if they kept it ahead full so it would stay aground instead of backing up and sinking.
I know jack shit about ships, though; it's just an idea.

If anything, he was probably forced to use the front brake because some idiot mechanic did just as he was told!


Hm...all things considered, I'd pay to watch a ship like that flip over forwards...and land on top of a bank or something...
