Funny you should say that. I knew one. Went outwith her during a dry spell, found out she likes cats, has 6. Cool, I like cats too. Was sharing a hopuse with three other dudes and 4 cats, so whatever. Cats mostly outdoor cats though. So it eventually got to a point of her sending alll the signals: "hey, we're going to my place and we're gonna hump," so I went. She opened the front door, anbd the smell knocked me back--overwhelming cat spray litterbox stank.
I wasn't that hard up, suddenly remembered I had to go home and do something unimportant.

Shudders.

It's sad some people are lonely. If cats complete them, fine, but the overdoing part won't fill the void. But it's sad sometimes.

There was a fantastic episode recently about parasites, in which they discussed the impact parasites can have on the behavior of their hosts.

Toxoplasmosis actually causes rats to be attracted to cat urine, making them more likely to be eaten by a cat. The protozoa can only reproduce in cats, so this behavioral change greatly increases the chances of reproduction.

The person doing the story was incredibly devoted to her cat, and later found that she had been infected. She ended the story, wondering if freaky cat people might actually be carriers.

i know this crazy motorcycle guy - the things are in the garage, in a shed, in the back yard, the living room, at the neighbors, behind the building at work... parts all over everywhere. He's not taking care of them, most need serious attention. His place smells like gasoline and used motor oil, he's dirty all the time.

I don't see myself as crazy.
What I see as crazy is a person who can let a perfectly good KZ sit out, through the winter, next to the ocean, without a tarp, and not ride it for years.
I'm just taking care of them. That's not crazy.

My Mother-in-law is one of these kooks, she has 10 cats living in her single-wide trailer. She once had over 20 cats in her trailer!!! Sadly, her only income is Social Security and she (no pun intended) pisses much of it away on cat litter & cat food. I shudder to think how it must smell (we never go there...ever).

I'm a catholic as well, although I only have one. I have more vehicles than I do cats, and I consider that a good balance.

seriously though, i have one cat. that's all i need for now and maybe i should get another so she'll have a playmate. and then it'll start.

Well Topaz has basically outlived her person. Her persons family dumped her outside then the person next door took her to the pound. We paid to get her released and have her caught up on vet stuff. She still likes pets, still gets to the liter box ok, signs she's on her way out and our cats seem to tolerate her so she stays until she dies or someone takes her in...... till she dies. Sleeps, eats, purrs, good OLD cat.

I'd like the line the family up and cunt punt them all..........

I know a jackass who did that with her two of her dogs... we don't speak anymore. Seriously... WTF is wrong with people.

We just have the one stray that showed up just weaned and promptly decided that it was a good idea to go through the fan blade of my truck. Still going strong twelve years later. So far she has outlasted three dogs.

I have two, and love them. A previous neighbour in the ghetto dump next door had 73 when they got evicted. They started with four, let them inbreed from there. It was a nightmare.
The landlady sanded the floor wood, and moved another welfare warrior in. Her kids smell like ammonia, and they don't have pets. Sad.

I miss her so much...

My landlord won't let me have a kitty.

Otherwise, I'd have a little black girl kitty. Someday...

On another note this video reminded me of this episode of a show I watched once called 'Hoarders', where this one lady hoarded cats and they were living in all sorts of trash in her home, and actually dying among the stuff too and she didn't know the difference...

Sanding the floor does not get out years of cat piss. You have to pull up the carpet, the carpet pad, then the flooring, then the subflooring, then sand down the joists and beams.

Then (in really bad cases where the piss soaked into the support beams) you seal the support beams with several coats of epoxy and install new subflooring and then whatever laminate, hardwood or carpet on top of that.

Otherwise, the smell will never ever go away completely no matter what you do to cover it up or scrub it away.

Yup, most times we would pull the entire house down, and build a new one anyway, most people don't want that kind of stench coming back up.
I have had one cat, and I can say it was a decent animal. Then my girlfriend became my ex and took it to Arizona where it was eaten by a coyote, so at least it died in a cool way.
