Banning bright yellow nerf guns and treating them like real guns? Are you kidding me?

BOULDER — If you're caught walking around the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Nerf gun, you could be arrested. Notices have been posted around the campus dorm buildings, warning students that Nerf-gun sightings will be treated like real-gun sightings.

The notices have gone up the same week that Colorado State University's student government voted to oppose a ban on real guns for those with concealed-weapons permits.

Nerf guns began popping up around CU this week, after some students started playing the popular game "Humans vs. Zombies." It's similar to the game of tag.

Does that mean that if you shoot a Nerf gun, University PD might come by and shoot you with a real gun?

Have you been to Boulder? That town has NOTHING to do with reality. In all likelyhood, the answer to your question is "yes". Why? Because Boulder P.D.'s former policy of shooting you in the chest with a taser could kill you.

Oddly enough, there was no mention of tasing people in the head (like zombies), so I guess that's still fair game.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: I fucking HATE Boulder.

I'm pretty sure in Massachusetts Paintball gun is considered a firearm.

They have plenty more weird gun laws like 900F and 10 lb. trigger

In mass I had to get a permit from the police just to carry pepper spray...after that, I decided it wasn't even worth hassling to bring my rifles up with me..

That is promising as far as the carrying concealed on campus, I've always thought it was a good idea. Mixed with some terrible, of course, but overall a good idea.

What is with the complete pussification of Super Soakers? Did any of you play with them as a kid? I know I did. My best one was this like 1.5 gallon backpack of water with a 4 nozzle gun that was basically this crazy water cannon.

Now their shit is all lame. Looking at the Nerf site, I don't see some of the madness that used to exist, but they still have some mildly cool designs. I still have some of my old Nerf guns that have the velocity to put someone's eye out

I did buy a beater Volvo 240 from a boulder psychic once. We had agreed to terms involving a down payment, then the next day she reneged and changed the terms. I keep both of mine in our built in trophy case in the living room.

My 16 year-old came home with a nerf machine gun that would make Rambo happy. Belt-fed, takes about 17 "C" cell batteries, and fires 120 rounds a minute. I'm finding Nerf darts fucking EVERYWHERE.

"Buy"some? Dude, you've really got to get over here more. We have awesome Nerf-gun wars all the time. Problem is the darts are constantly all over the house. Metalredneck, I feel your pain.

My personal favorite is the Maverick, it's a barrel six-shooter, but it will take any kind of Nerf dart.

Oh, and fuck The People's Republic of Boulder, can't stand that fucking town that hypocrisy built.
