Congrats indeed! Keep up the good work.
Bumper sticker idea, "My terrorist biker scum honor student can absolutely out-think your honor student." ... or something along those lines.

Didn't some Dr. make a prescription,
"Drink beer, as much as you like, mostly good stuff."
I am very proud to have a terrorist biker scum honor student who looks so good in leathers!

Yeah, that'd raise some eyebrows.
Dean's list. That's great. I quit before they could kick me out.

it makes a difference when you get past the bullshit cores and into the stuff you actually WANT to learn. srsly.
the caliber of students is vastly different too. and that's the best part. i'm getting to know people who are there because they are just as driven to learn as i am, not because mommy and daddy are paying their way, but because they are truly interested in the subject matter.

thanks for all the nice words. i really appreciate your support: it means an awful lot to me to have my friends cheering me on.
my schedule for next semester:
1. russian language 3 & 4 (the intensive class continues)
2. russian conversation
3. russian lit - banned and censored works, soviet era
4. german for business
5. german independent study (i'll be working in the library archive on researching a certain old book, and making reports from it)

Wow, lots of Russian... Good Luck!
I'd be interested what they teach in Banned soviet era lit, Мастер и Маргарита? although I don't think it was banned, for sure Bilgakov was not on the good side of the soviet regime.
Му fave: 12 Стульев / Золотой Телёнок by Ильф и Петров, might be a difficult read as it is a satire relying on being experienced in Soviet Reality

i am pretty sure that Мастер и Маргарита is on the reading list. До́ктор Жива́го is for certain. as to the rest i don't know yet.
the one thing about the lit class is that the professor is really a great teacher. he was my teacher for fall semester's lit class (пушкин, гогол, чехов, and others) and it was awesome.

school starts in one week. so this is probably the last you will hear from me till my trip to DC in february. (and the villagers rejoice)
i'm on facebook, under my real live name, oh the horror. purely for networking purposes with professors and fellow professional students, so skulduggery is at a stark minimum. (pm me if interested)
also on yahoo im as sunny76059.
пока!
bis später!
jusqu'à plus tard!
fino a più tardi!
