I can only watch the news for so long without feeling like I need to say/do something.

Please donate to UNICEF.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is absorbing all associated administrative costs so that 100% of every dollar you give to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will support UNICEF's relief efforts for children in Haiti.

"UNICEF is deploying necessary supplies to Jacmel and Port-au-Prince as quickly as possible to assist with recovery efforts including clean water and sanitation, therapeutic foods, medical supplies and temporary shelter. We will also be focusing on children who have become separated from their families to protect them from harm or exploitation. "

"Expert estimates suggest that 46 per cent of Haiti’s nearly 10 million people are under 18 years of age. The special needs of children for food, shelter and protection, must be factored in at the very outset of relief efforts and UNICEF will do everything in its power to make sure these needs are met."

Supplies for a first aid kit, a basic need which is not being met, cost pennies because they buy in bulk.
Ten dollars would go a long way.

Please donate today.

I gave at the office.

No, literally. My boss passed a headset bag around, looked pretty heavy by the time I got to put some in. Gonna give some more, though.

I"ve been to Haiti. Those people had sooo many cards stacked against them before this from the get-go it isn't even polite to discuss it. They need all the help they can get.
That being said, you couldn't pay me enough to go back there.

Text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross Haiti relief. It shows up on your phone bill.

In.

And this is a no brainer, I know, but it's worth repeating ... beware of scams. It's hard to believe there are lowlife fucksticks out there who will try to take advantage of any human tragedy and this one isn't any different. Until we can make them DIAF, check and double check who you give your personal info and $$$ to.
