Tax Tip

Disclaimer: I know fuck-all about taxes, but I've been doing my own for years, it seems to work for me.

Article on Yahoo this morning says any vehicle (they specifically state motorcycles are included) purchased last year, you can deduct the taxes you paid on it. For many I'm sure that's a little handy. For me in C(r)ook County, it's fucking brilliant!

Check up on that. I believe it's only new vehicles that qualify. I'm in the process of doing my 2009 taxes right now. I should find out soon.

Fuck income tax season, by the way. Nothing puts me in a worse mood than writing checks for 5 digit figures.

This is good news. I bought a new car and a new motorcycle. The car also qualifies me for a tax credit for being an alternative fuel vehicle or some shit like that. $1400 I think for the Jetta TDI.

Thanks for the info.
