I have a very nice mental image now of a boot attached to one of the road-wheels, helplessly turning and being slowly mangled, the suspension traveling a wee bit whenever the part of the boot that goes under the wheel passes between wheel and track...goose wrote:i'd just like to park that in sf and watch dpt struggle with booting or towing it!

+1Tankers are lazy.
IIRC, it wasn't surplus. The guy was a nut job who somehow got away with stealing the tank off a base.My Little Pony wrote:I'll lend you the money, if you'll take care of a few things for me with it. A few years ago, I saw footage of someone in a surplus tank going down a public street, running over a bunch of parked cars with a mess of cop cars encircling him, but unable to do anything. In the end, I think he hung it up on it's belly pan with both tracks spinning. He probably had a hard time finding a lawyer to represent him in that case.
