Pointless? Sure.
Better conversions out there? Totally.
Still badass? Undoubtedly.
Directly to the point of there being better conversions, part of the reason I like it is because it's rough around the edges, and utilitarian/ghetto.

Reminds me a bit of this:
But...how do you steer? I mean, it's fairly obvious that those 'lil Ladas were somehow mechanically linked to the track system, but the drive-on model?
Although...some kind of clamp to attach to the front wheels, pivoting around the vertical and operating break-levers when the steering wheel is operated...
Can someone PLEASE translate what the heck they are saying?
I'm actually intrigued here.

Maybe in you life, or mine, yes. But I think they would have an application.
Just as Snowmobiles are “pointless” for me, or the vast majority of folks in the lower 48. To others they are a “necessary” way of life for 6-8 months.
-necessary not being actually necessary, but rather a convince that has become a necessity due to the general softening of the humans in ‘evolved’ countries
