i'm not irish, but i am scottish and welsh. in fact, i went to the bbc site today and started their beginning welsh language class. fyi, they also have lots of other language classes available online!
i am also german, french, english, and native american. maybe even african.

If you saw me, you'd never guess it, I'm a full half Irish (Irish Jew to be precise). The other half is Native American (Yaqui) and Arab (Syrian). I look the tall dark part(6'2"), my pop looks like a 5'7 leprechaun.
I did get the "able to drink copius amounts of whiskey without losing the ability to walk/talk/fight" gene.

I threatened to punch several people yesterday who mentioned my lack of green clothing. My name is Rory and I'm more than half Irish; I don't need to wear green.

I did tell my co-workers that if any of them pinched me I'd put them in a wrist lock. Made it through the day unscathed.
