His artwork on the covers of the Conan books inspired many an impure thought in my early teen mind.

think what you will of Molly Hatchett, they had the coolest album covers thanks to Frazetta. Godspeed Mr. Frazetta. Your renditions of barbarians and warlords will live on forever.

Hot chicks with big butts. I had a whole series of books filled with his stuff.
He did Tarzan books too, didn't he?

I wondered for years why Hollywood never used Frazetta to art direct some fantasy film. I have a book of his illustrations and the monsters and critters are some of the best imagination still today. Lord of the Rings comes as close to depicting Frazetta's style. Good illustrators are worth their weight in gold.

Bless you, Midliferider. Unfortunately the current market value of an illustrator is closer to the weight of used bumwad. On the Moon.
