life makes suddens twists and turns

with the passing of my grandma, things were looking very bad. school and money stresses had been eating me alive since i went back to school last spring. gastritis and i have been on-again off-again companions...

now things are definitely, well... different. the major stressor has abated considerably since my grandad "gave" me their house when he went to live in the assisted living place.

you wouldn't believe how much easier one can sleep when one doesn't live in fear of being evicted because one isn't the "right" religion...

Being able to sleep well, is FUCKING jangleplatz!

I haven't had the exact experience, but I know what it's like waiting for the Sheriff to arrive.

it's not so much the waiting on the sheriff either. it's waiting for the owner to once again come knocking on my door with a notice from the city that the religious freaks at the religious university have made complaints about something.

once i had a motorcycle engine sitting all by its lonesome out on the front porch in front of the enclosed garage. that was one complaint.
then they decided i couldn't park all my bikes neatly lined up together in front of the enclosed garage.

they NEVER complain about the neighbors who have not ONE but TWO broken down old CADILLACS with flat tires in their DRIVEWAY! the cars have not been moved since we moved here in january 2009.

blah. i'm done with that bullshit.

i think when we leave in a couple of weeks i am going to leave them a present: a gay pride flag flying from the front porch. or maybe a dozen of them...

or maybe a baphomet flag, if i can find one.

rainbows and unicorns all the way. Congrats on getting a better arrangement; I'm sure it will feel more like home.

I know exactly how you feel, having recently been able to put my struggle with unemployment behind me. I no longer fear the letters demanding things I cannot give, although ironically working as much as I am, and living away from my family means I have not gotten to sleep.deeply. Good on ya for getting to a better place.
