Is it OK to stick a magnet o your iPhone?
Seems like a bad idea. :?

That sort of thinking would involve an understanding of modern technology, which we all know Harley Davidson does not have.

Seems like a quick way to erase your data and brick your phone to me, too.

High shock, high vibration environment? Check.
Extended periods of direct sunlight? Check.
Lots of heat? Check.

Wait, I know, let's stick a big fucking magnet in there, too! That ought to just about do it.

Shouldn't be a problem, actually. iPhones use a solid state drive that isn't sensitive to magnetism. I'm pretty sure that case wasn't made for iPhones despite having one in the picture though. You can see the outer edge of the phone in the opening, it's not holding on to it at all. So it would be a good way to lose your data and brick your phone, when it falls on to the highway.

This is a Chewbacca on Endor thing. I've always considered my motorcycle the best tool for getting away from phones :D

Yeah, I have a magnetic pouch I hold my iPod in and it hasn't failed me yet.

I don't follow the analogy based on the description you've given. I always viewed Chewie on Endor as a Manute Bol in the land of Lilliput, no different except in one important manner.

I stuck my phone in the map window of my tank bag on the way to rag, and it just did something like this:
