It's a long metal surface that one sits at the top, and then rides to the bottom. And yes, by the way, it rules.

Unfortunately, no. I found this online so wysiwyg. That would be badass, though. PM me and we'll figure this out.

I was bored and I hadn't had a good excuse to re-install and play with GIMP for a while.
So I did.
You like?
Here is the high-res version (2.4 mb, so linky only):

EDIT:
Put in improved versions.

It was done with a slide rule in New Mexico.

DG,
Thanks that's cool. I like the format of the original, though, because it looks more like a demotivational poster.

Lol
I'll have to ask my mom if she wants one... She is a high school maths teacher. When she saw this after I posted it on my FB she got all emo because today will be the first day of school and they won't have text books until later this week, at earliest. Not a very confidence inspiring way to start the school year
She is the union rep for the building, along with the math department chair and has spent a lot of time and effort trying to get the district to work on a comprehensive math literacy program in their feeder schools, to great frustration. And now they're not going to the moon.

I so empathize with her. I started off this year with no books and I'm also the union rep for the building.
Your mom speaks another language, though, as I teach the English gooder and she speaks Numbersese.
Tell her to hang in there and keep fighting the good fight.

Matpoc! It came today and it is wonderful! I will take it, well, somewhere and have it mounted (hopefully this weekend). Oh, the, ahem, packing material was really cool too. My boys thank you.
