That's not far off my fuzzy recollections of DooMs past, except I wasn't riding a scooter, and the walls weren't padded.

On the plus side, if we did, we could have some of this:
<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="
http://www.youtube.com/v/9sEI1AUFJKw?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="

Great I can't get that song out of my head.

In a land where practically everything is repressed, shit will come out one way or another.

I've tried that stuff (the smaller, non-Giga version) and I didn't like it... might be a texture thing though. It's like flan or Jell-O, and I dislike both.

That is, from an outsiders perspective, one seriously strange culture.

it is perhaps the height of irony, that for a culture with such strict mores of public behavior, that they produce the biggest freaks and perverts in private, and the wackiest, scariest commercials and game shows.
afew observations::
is it just me, or do they equate panty stealing with car stealing? , even though it doesnt help that A- they seem to grow self-repressed perverts the way other nations grow corn, rice, fruit, or beans, and B- they hang their laundry out on laundry lines.
also, i find it deliciouslly ironic that they create the most alt-gender media, such as anime and manga about crossdressers and transformations of one gender to another, through as many methods as can be had. Even though gender role morals over there seem to be as staunch as ever.
one thing i do like, is their level of education, if not their methods of education. They work so hard at learning, that ive heard whispers of some students actualy cracking, and committing suicide. The survivors however, come out the other side with high school diplomas that rival most lesser american college degrees.
i also like their handling of 'compensated dating' (prostitution). men do have their needs, and its just stupid to deny and prohibit prostitution outrightly, cause its gonna happen anyway.

One thing I really like is their emphasis on the arts. Last I heard, art was a required subject K-12. Our society must be the most artisticallly ignorant and naive I've run across. Kudos to the japanese system as far as this is concerned.
