Shameless Self Promotion 2010 - 5 years of this crap!

Hey Kids!

November is rapidly approaching, and that means it's time for everyone's favorite deified duo to star in another novel.

I'm doing something a bit different this year. I've been wanting to write a picaresque* novel, and I think this year would be as good as any. So, prepare for Holy Rollers - Rogues Gallery. More details to come.

If you liked the other Holy Rollers, you'll probably like this one too. Bookmark this site: http://holyrollersrogues.blogspot.com/

I'm going to try and get an RSS feed set up as well, for those of you who are into such things.

In order, here are the other Holy Rollers novels:

http://holyrollersnovel.blogspot.com/ (be nice, this was my first attempt)

http://holyrollers-apotheosis.blogspot.com/

http://holyrollers-charlatan.blogspot.com/

http://holyrollers-immortals.blogspot.com/ (my favorite, thus far)

*think Huck Finn, or Fear and Loathing - a series of adventurous episodes loosely tied together by some theme (the river, for example). The main character is a rogue with no apparent direction, surviving by his wits.

Very cool!

I loved the first one and I need to find the time to read the rest. Something to read once the weather turns sour. :D

Thanks, gents.

So, the RSS Feed is up and going, if you're into such things. I recommend subscribing so you don't miss a single juicy chapter.

Also, less than 3 days to November 1.

...I'd better figure out what the hell I'm going to write about.

I can nread. It's what I do. What else I've been doing is reading this fist in spurts and sections. Gonna start anew from Genesis.

Starting now.

Smash is a good egg. Must ride out through my beloved desert and konk him on his skull again. Everyonme shgould. Could be an epiphanic moment for our boy.

Just posted Chapter Six, and there should be another tonight.

Aggroton - I would be interested to see a play of Holy Rollers.

Zer0 - Thanks. You should definitely ride out again, maybe this time when it isn't 114 outside. It makes getting coffee a little more reasonable.

The 114 degree ride is half the point; call it eustress. And since when are we supposed to be reasonable about motorcycles or coffee? What's wrong with you? [sound of Zer0 thwacking Smash upside his head--Smash thanks Zer0]

Ch. 10 is up now. Sorry to be all slow and inconsistent with posting chapters this year - it's been... challenging.

I cans read! (but I'm already impatiently waiting for several sequels [Dresden Files, Mercy Thompson, In the Name of the Wind Book 2] ... so I'm waiting until December 1st to read this so I don't have to wait for the next chapter!)

Goodonya Smash for going at it again ... good luck on meeting the word count!

Airhead - Thanks, and yep. I really gotta try writing fiction in some month other than November some time...

GeekGrl - Thanks for the luck.

And for everyone else - Chapter 14 is up, and there's a special treat at the end of it just for you!

And, for the fifth year in a row, I kicked Nanowrimo's ass. Final word count, 50,019.

Time to go get some Miller High Life to celebrate.

So if you've been waiting, well, now would be a good time to start reading.

I can't even do that, plus, I stare at thhe monitor enough as it is, so I go through the tedious task of copying and pasting on word and printing it out. So now I have something to read whenever I take a ride to lunch wherever.

Just finished it, great work!

These could make some kick ass graphic novels. Xtian could do the artwork.
