Blowing up a house full of explosives.

I've heard of hoarders hoarding cats, bottles, shopping bags, any old crap, including their own old crap.
But home-made explosives?
So much they can't even do a controlled explosion but have to just set the place on fire and cross fingers???
For sure, that is something I want to see!
Authorities went into the home after Jakubec was arrested, but encountered a maze of floor-to-ceiling junk and explosives that included 13 unfinished shrapnel grenades.

Bomb experts pulled out about nine pounds of explosive material and detonated it, but they soon realized it was too dangerous to continue given the quantity of hazardous substances. A bomb-disposing robot was ruled out because of the obstacle of all the junk Jakubec hoarded.

That left only one option — burn the home down.

Property values there must be below zero by now...

Also, what's with the shitty wall they are putting around it? Have sandbags gone out of style?

How about "we'll knock a year or two off your sentence if you go in and clear everything out for us."

That boob squad just has a thing for flying debris.

Giving them the bene of doubt, they may have some grander plan that is just not readily understandable from this photo. Could be some sort of retaining wall, or form...

Someone please follow this and let us know how it plays out

Thanks FastCat.

So the wall was not for shrapnel protection but rather a fire break, and was built close to and shielding a near-buy structure. The wall was only meant to be strong enough to stick fire-retardant gel to.

Dosent sound like ther were any secondary explosions, or at least any major ones.
