I left the previous owner's number on my supermoto so those I ran into on message boards or repeat performances at the track would remember me more easily.
It's much easier to walk up to someone with all of your gear off and say "Hey, I'm KTM #34" than say "I'm the dude with the dirtbike helmet and leathers on."
At any rate, those old numbers made me feel like a royal poseur, since I've never entered a race in my life (yet).

Hehehehe... I went out to the garage, looked at the bike, and it immediately dawned on me: Pumpkin Pi.
