Eek! Yeah, it is.
I only read the first page. Sucks to hear about, and I hope dude (lady?) gets his (her?) bike back!

I only read first page as well, it's 600+ posts now. Seems that the chick got ripped off by "everybody's best friend"

Yeah, that's some bullshit right there.
Fortunately, the track scene 'round here is fairly small, all things considered. Homeboy is likely to have a tough time of it if he tries to go race that thing.

Oh shit, it just dawned on me that I was JUST talking to some folks about this very same incident on Friday.
The way I heard it was that they loaded the bike up, then dude had some "emergency" pop up and had to leave in a hurry, and did so without paying. Then the chick set multiple payment deadlines, and nothing ever came through (obviously). She waffled on calling the cops, but it appears that she did, judging by the brief skimming of the thread that I just did.

It's a pretty fucked situation. Sounds like dude deserves a beat down, and chick needs to learn how/when to say "Oh HELL NO" and call the fucking cops (like I would have done IMMEDIATELY).

unfortunately, i suspect there's a lot more to this than meets the eye. We've been batting in around the shop (where the berg is sleeping) for awhile.

Ultimately, the guy should bring and give the bike back. Regardless. WAFS is right, you can't go to a track around here that you don't know just about everyone. really. And there's no way you can go to a track in Calif without running into a BARFer affiliated person.

If he's a racer? He's fucked. He'd be better off in court arguing his side than in the paddock fending off disgruntled crews and other riders applying street justice. Just sayin.

Wow, what a shot storm. Must be a big forum, nearly 500 replies in 2 days, they surely spend more time typing then riding.

Glad she got her bike back.
