Cannabis+beer.

I've been homebrewing, and recently made a porter, and chucked a bit over an eight an ounce of weed into the wort before I chilled it, then left it there until bottling.

Now let it be known that I don't like THC at ALL, but I do love the taste and smell of good weed.

I ended up having an small accident during bottling that contaminated about 40 ounces of the brew, so I drank it.
I could barely feel any sort of effects from the weed (and I have always been a TOTAL lightweight to the stuff).

Anyway, it was deeeeeelicious, even flat and not quite ready to drink.
Probably the best use I could ever think of for marijuana besides growing it for hemp.

After that, I brewed up a Leffe Blonde clone that's about ready to bottle, and tastes pretty close to the real thing, and a baltic porter that is only a few days into fermentation, and already tastes freaking amazing (I couldn't resist trying some while I was checking the specific gravity).

Anyone else out there brew?
Got any recipes?
Wanna trade?

Ah, here we are, this is the correct universe thread!

Yeah, I brew. Haven't for a few years, but I just finished a batch of applejack. We'll wait a year and see how it is.

My favorite beer is Orange Blossom Amber. It has the most wonderful aroma of orange flowers in it because you put orange blossom honey in the wert.

Go to

Gambrinus' Mug

and

The Cat's Meow

These are lists of reicipes and links to all sorts of homebrew stuff.

Cheers!

Oh, by the way, some of us Do like the other qualities of cannabis besides the aroma, and have learned that hops and cannabis are in the same family.

That means that you can take the root of your favorite cannabis variety and graft your favorite hop variety to it and have a happy, healthy plant that looks like hops and has the more interesting qualitys of hemp.

The best of both worlds!

No shit, really?

I knew they were both in the family cannabaceae (as a matter of fact, I just won an argument about this last night) but I didn't know you could hybridize them.
That is very, very interesting.
