To me that looks like a seriously burning fire, but I may be wrong.
Now, someone should adapt this to 40mm caliber for grenade machine guns to mount on fire trucks...

Wonder what it is, must be some chemical that breaks the combustion chain, because it isn't cold and it doesn't displace oxygen.
One of the best firefighting chemicals here in the US was eventually outlawed because it was too hazardous. Purple K.

Really curious how it works, if it works on anything larger than a small shed, and if there was a person in the room where one goes off would they survive the extinguishing.

The guy throwing a scoop of water (or something?) into the fire after the extinguisher grenade is interesting, don't know the significance of it.

The voice-over talks about ammonia gas and "tansan" gas (tansan generally refers to a liquid being carbonated or bubbly) and then something else that I don't get.

I assumed that was the liquid in non-grenade form. Dunno...

Seemed like that Water-like substance was kerosene. Proving that combustion has been truly halted? IDK about that, as the fire semes to go out when he throws it.

I'm seein the grenade as a Rescue tool in that vid. As in when you know someone is behind that wall o fire, you throw grenade clearing path to drag victim out

and what does the Ammonia do? Not feeling very chemist at the moment

Not a chemist but I've been to fire school more than once, and I think maybe the ammonia bonds with the oxygen, making it unavailable for cumbustion. That's how drychem extinguishers work. CO2, of course, will put out a fire but has to be present in such a volume as to displace the oxygen. That's a huuuuge volume. But if you had something that could bod with the O, then your problem is solved.
I think this is an awesome idea and could go far in saving lives and property, provided it's done safely and effectively!
