Lived a Tiny Bit of My Asterix Fantasy Tonight

Just roasted a chunk of wild boar for dinner, replete with roast potatoes, onions, and steamed carrots and string beans. Made more of a jus than a gravy which was light, full of flavour and set the whole thing off.
I've had wild boar dishes before, but always in a Japanese style. I went out for a drink with a local fisherman mate the other night and he gave me a slab of this delicious game. First time I've tried roasting a chunk for myself. Verdict: TASTY!
