While I agree that there's a whole lot of stupid people that will wreak havoc on the roadways while attempting to use this at speed, it would have been a great thing to have when I was a truck driver.

Handy for doing paperwork while parked for the night at a truckstop.

If I ever get a job driving truck again and get one of these, please don't send me semtex.

Aren't truck steering wheels mounted at a much shallower angle than the steering wheels in passenger vehicles this seems to be designed for?
Not to mention a heck of a lot bigger?

I mean, would it even fit?

***EDIT***
Nevermind, it's adjustable:

Maybe old trucks, but the 1998 Mack I drove had telescope and tilt adjustments.

I thought these were designed for census takers (and their tasty livers), insurance agents, sales people, anyone who works literally out of their car to have a work space WHILE THEY ARE SITTING STILL. From that perspective, pretty ingenius.

cops have laptops mounted right of steering wheel, have seen one or two wondering all over the road while operating the laptop.

Bad idea IMHO, because if you have an opportunity, even knowing that it's wrong still might do it.
