New York?

Heading to New York (actually Manhattan I guess) in a few weeks. Will be doing five twelve-hour days of software training all week with the following Saturday free to do whatever. Staying down by Broadway and Water near Wall st. Not sure if anyone runs around up there, but any suggestions for places to eat (or not eat) or "must-see" or "don't bother" landmarks is welcome. Should be June 6-11 if anyone is actually around and wants to grab a bite or something let me know. Tentative plan is just to walk around on Saturday and go by all the "landmarks" in the immediate area since it is my first trip to NY.

Well since I wasn't "called up" I'll still be seeing the "big city".
Every one of the people here (that have never been to NY) have been telling me how I'll be mugged, have my pocket picked, and end up living on the street if I'm not careful...
People around here should really get out more.

Actually I've been to NY several times, last time was for New Years 2005. I've always had a fucking blast. I've always spent far more money than I intended. I've always come home with more blurry pictures than printable ones.
Have a fucking blast.
Seriously, though, watch out for the C.H.U.D.

For the most part Manhattan is 1/4: shopping mall, bank, LED sign and irritation. You'll be fine

Alright, this town isn't so bad at all. Walked all over this afternoon (got out of class early) and didn't get stabbed once. Not figuring out the subway map yet though.

Is it possible to run out of bars to "try" in this town?
It seems there are thousands.

Well, New York was highly entertaining.
Saw some sights.

Some old people.

Looked down on everyone.

Took a walk in the park.

An amusement park, in a park.
Ah, the Polynesian Rum Hooka
APPROVED!
But I still have no explanation of this
On the way home at 40,000ft. (not sure why this won't rotate

(Nevermind) )
Cramped quarters on the flight. LOL!
Thanks Rock, Shifty, and That One Girl for hanging out. Had a great time.
