Damn, just when I thought meth was the worst thing people would do to themselves for a high, Russia comes up with this:

Philosophically I'm conflicted on this... to expand further on this would make me sound like a heartless monster.

I'd just have to say that as far as suicides go, I'd take a real crocodile over this one.

Drugs are bad, mkay?

Yes, of course, this just shows why it's so important to keep heroin totally illegal, criminalize users and just make damn sure the only way addicts can get their hands on their next hit is by stealing stuff and giving their money to organized criminals who can then afford to go gun running, human trafficking and finance terrorist attrocities.

Fucking spineless lawmakers and the bigoted philistines who vote for them are the cause of the misery of drug addiction that infects our societies.
Name any problem associated with heroin abuse, and apart from the health effect on the user (and only some of them, effects I mean), all of them can be cured by just supplying free smack and clean needles to addicts.
No more money for organized crime and terrorist groups.
No more supply crime (stealing car radios and shit).
No more customer-base for pushers, hence no more recruitment of new addicts.
No more expensive police work to fight the pushers.
No more expensive imprisonment.
No more expensive ambulance rides and ER treatments for overdoses and effects of unclean smack.
No more infectios disease spread through shared needles.
No more expensive welfare for people who are too busy with their habit to hold down a job.

Chemical dependence is a sickness, not a crime, and fifty+ years of drug policy in the industrialized world has failed, failed, failed, and caused untold misery.

This shit is just the newest iteration of the misery caused by the majority of people being unable to think further than they can shit.

Amen, Der Golgo. That sums up my view on this better than I could have said myself.

edit* Except the "free" smack part. It should be comparable in price to a six-pack of cheap beer, or a pack of smokes.

Only for those addicts who are functional enough to hold down a job.
A six pack of beer or pack of smokes is still too expensive for someone sleeping under a bridge.
You gotta start with free to draw them in, gain their trust, bring them to accepting help to get into a somewhat ordered lifestyle.

Flesh eating drugs are a new global trend. It's happening here in the US, too!

NSFW-gore.... Found a youtube video of a user displaying the fruits of his labor. Fuck. I agree with Dergolgo. There would be almost no need to home brew poison if there was quality shit given freely.

I made it 19 seconds in before I decided that my gore quota had already been filled by the fountain of puss video I posted last week.

Wow.

When I read the first article, I didn't buy it. After watching the video...holy crap. I spent some time as an EMT and that video made me wince.

What happened to normal drugs? The kind that don't turn you into a walking rotten nightmare.

For some stupid reason I did an image search. Ridiculous what humans will do once an addiction takes hold. Gore and violence is one thing - self inflicted flesh dissolution is on a level of inhumanity that boggles the mind.

Talk about zombies...

You should watch the related videos. It doesn't get any better.

My grossness tolerance stops when it gets into actual damage to life/limb, or anything involving injuries to kids.

That's why the fountain of puss video gave me the creeps. I think I would have nightmares forever if I were to watch people with their limbs rotting off because they couldn't stop from shooting up poison.

Clear demonstration of how thin a veneer our notion of free will and conscious direction is. This is really sad.

It's true. They keep people from doing stuff they enjoy, even things as simple as posting on message boards get pushed aside as drugs become the only thing a person can focus on. So how you all doin? I'm 2 weeks into suboxone replacement which is fairly similar to methadone maintenance. From what I hear it's no easier to kick than heroin but hopefully it'll keep me out of trouble long enough to rebuild some productive habits. I have a good job that I've somehow managed to hang onto for about 9 months now & I'm making ends meet (barely). The thruxton, R1 & RZ's and a bunch of other stuff is long gone but I've still got the 'rex & kaw triples. I've probably spent a total of 10 hours in the garage over the last year and a half, pretty pathetic. I don't have a computer online & typing on the phone is frustrating so I doubt I'll be around much in the near future, but as soon as I can scrape up the funds for internet access I'll get back to shooting the shit with y'all. (How's that for an unintended pun?) I don't use my old email at all, it's chock full of viruses which fits in with most everything else presently, so I won't get any PMs. In the meantime I'll be sure to keep my distance from any crocodiles, luckily they're not native to my area.

Glad to see you found your way back wheezy. I'd been wondering which edge of the map you'd slipped off of. Sorry to hear you've been on a rough road, hopefully things will just get smoother from here on in. Keep on keepin' on.

My sincerest hopes that you are not one of the things that is chocked full of viruses.

One day at a time, man. Addiction sucks. I wish you all the best in your recovery and sobriety.

Just spent two middle of the night hours the other day, listening to an old school best bud mumble his problems unintelligibly into the phone.

He recently kicked meth, and hates going to groups because they honestly (and I can vouch for this) just don't jive with his personality. Too bad there aren't many alternatives, because he's got a hard fight to fix his life and his marriage, and he could sure use the help.
