Prescription discounts?

Currently, I'm without medical coverage and I'm paying out the ass for 4 monthly prescriptions. Lipitor and Plavix being the worst ($450 monthly). I've been researching prescription discount plans online and I'm wondering if anyone uses one? If so, do you get good discounts?
I'd love to just get back to where I was paying $60 a month when I had prescription coverage. Any kind of discount would be great.

For 450 motherfucking dollars a month, get a gym membership and eat right and you won't have a fucking heart attack and you'll save money...

I believe the term is..."touche" 
Not knowing shit about RC26's medical conditions, I would put forth that lipitor is often used to help out with genetic levels, not just double-cheeseburger levels, and plavix is often for certain heart conditions that could be initiated by a heart attack in the first place, and no matter how healthy you are after the fact, it stays with you. Also for cetain genetic cardiac defects.
But I'm an enabler. It's what I do.

there is the health you make with your own lifestyle, and then there is the health you inherited from your family. (lucky for me, i'm pretty much doomed)
try calling the companies directly and see what kind of a deal they can make for you. it's worth a try.

Have you asked your doctor for cheaper alternatives?
The internets tell me that Plavix is such a big earner for it's manufacturers they do what they can to keep generica out of the US market, but maybe there's some generic form of Atorvastatin (Lipitor) which would work for you?

I picked up prescriptions tonight. The Pharmacist hooked me up and was able to knock off $43 on 2 of them. I'll take it.
Yes, the Plavix is a must. Non-medicated stent after a heart attack.
