One of my coworkers drives a Juke. Now I know he is a rider-hating jackass.

Are you fucking serious??? This is a real commercial in Nth America?

Pretty obvious Nissan never made motorcycles.

I don't know why, but when I see the Juke it reminds me of the Citroen DS. Butt ugly.

<a href="http://s443.photobucket.com/albums/qq16 ... n-Juke.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i443.photobucket.com/albums/qq16 ... n-Juke.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Nissan is condoning violence against motorcycle riders. I am offended and traumatized by simply viewing it. Anyone know a good lawyer?

Oftentimes, abject incompetence and complete stupidity is indistinguishable from malice aforethought.

First of all, how dare you compare that piece of ho-hum to the glory of the Citroen DS!!!

Nissan Nth America needs a massive fucking company bankrupting lawsuit if this video actually comes from their HQ.

Dennis Chung at motorcycle.com wrote:Motorcycle.com contributor Barry Winfield reports the ad was produced by Nissan Canada’s ad agency and the video and the reaction to it hasn’t sat well with Nissan USA.

Basem Wasef at about.com motorcycles wrote:Thanks for everyone's comments. I received this note from Nissan's PR department: "We've heard your concerns regarding the JUKE Trophy digital video, and pulled it immediately. We sincerely apologize that our creative direction missed the mark. Nissan promotes sharing the road with all riders and drivers and does not condone reckless behavior. Thanks for sharing your feedback."
I can't even begin to fathom what sort of defect must affect the assholes who made and approved this. They either have zero empathy for their fellow humans, are incapable of recognizing people following a different lifestyle as human or are unable to recognize that publishing something that will potentially be seen by millions comes with a certain responsibility.
So they are either murderous sociopaths, murderous fascists or murderous retards.
About the only thing they can do to make good for this is to ensure the video is removed from all hosting services, to start a massive campaign to make cagers more aware of motorcyclists and to use their lobbying might for harsher penalties for cagers than run over motorcyclists.

I'm almost sorry they didn't run this from a website in Germany, over here, that sort of thing (inciting to violence) is a felony.

EDIT:
Also, indeed, the Juke, fugly as it is, does look a little like the DS.
The DS, however, is gorgeous, inside and out.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

My guess is that this particular video-clip comes from a frame-of-mind developed from sitting in a cubicle-farm for 8 hours and then fighting bumper-to-bumper gridlock for 45 minutes every afternoon and then again in the morning, and being passed one too many times by a bike who was "lanesharing".

It's a jealousy compounded by a self-imposed exile borne out of fear.

Pity the sheep.

...and carry a video-camera often.

I'm honestly wondering in what universe that shitty little car can keep up with a bike, and who approved the ad given the awful graphics alone. Looks like something I could do at home in an afternoon :P

Saw this commercial last week. Fittingly, the next day was riding in GF's car when some mouth breathing douchebag just about hit us twice, clearly intentionally, to get in the lane we were in. Was driving a Juke.
I told her to ram him but she has more sense than I.

As I view it, commercial media like this is borderline criminal.
