yes and no. they rebadged the savage into a "boulevard s40".
they also made some changes that many savage riders had been making with aftermarket parts.
and without changing the engine or carb specs (that i can tell thus far) they seem to have gotten rid of most of the backfire while retaining some crazy gas mileage.

none of them really compare to each other.
but THIS one can go with me to europe and maybe pass the TUV, since it is completely stock from the factory.
