You know those times...

...when you say to yourself "Goddamn, how did I get this drunk?"

Well, this is not one of those times.
I know exactly how I go tthis drunk. I just don't know how much it cost me.

But an unknown quantity of beer and whiksey later, along with ten tacos, and a four mile walk from downtown to my house, I a mhome, and I knw EXACTLY how I got this drunk.

Life is pretty grand sometimes.

This is the sort of morning where you wake up on top of the covers, with all the lights on, and start checking your various communication devices to see what you said to whom before you passed out (and slept on top of your open laptop).

I exude class. Pure class. Happy veterans day.

On the upshot, there is an amazing new Irish pub in Davis.

I woke up with the first line of this song stuck in my head:

Aaaand safe.

Aside from trying to book a show for my band, before I found out if everyone was available (which is really not that big a deal, since the booking at this venue goes through a good friend of mine) the original post was my only drunk type/text/mail/call.

I'm glad I locked myself out of my facebook account, or there would probably be trouble.

Well then. I'd be interested to find out if he'd have any venues that would be interested in featuring a fairly well known and established, old timey jug band from Oakland that sings songs about pirates, goblins, zombies, and drinking.

Probably not their thing.

Now if you've got a band of drinking pirates, goblins and zombies who sing songs about Oakland, that's another story!

Ha!

We *do* play in costume a lot. It's usually a zombie, some goblins, a human doll, and a creepy clown.

I am the creepy clown.

If you guys ever tour internationally, I know a couple promoters in Toronto. Not much help, I know :)

Actually, these folks have toured internationally, as have their various other projects and offshoots. The group fragmented into two pieces a while back, and now also play as "THAT Damned Band," based out of Austin, who also tour internationally.

I don't think we have any tours coming up, though, at least none that *I'm* gonna be involved in. I'll be in school until June, at which point our guitar player will be touring with another act in Europe.

Earliest I can imagine a tour happening would be about a year from now (at which point in time I will hit you up). Plus I've got a girl in Toronto, so there's at least three solid reasons to make it up there.
