It's pretty classic third-world seamanship. But among the big boys, not all that common. The little guy was a chemical carrier by the looks of things. They come in all sizes so the capt's are usually, well, all skill levels from all over.

Love seeing the prop wash change directions as the big ship tries to swing around the nose of the little one. You can only imagine the neck straining and shouting and quick steering involved in that one.
