Cat's new house

OK, I know it's not "headline news" but I have been mostly absent from most of my typical "extracurricular activities" over this past summer because me and my partner have spent all the money, effort, and energy at our disposal to purchase, make-ready, and move-into a new house. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and I finally talked Mardi into giving me the "go ahead" to snap some photos and post them online yesterday as we have the new place straightened-up and "finished" enough to have guests over for a meal.

Please note that there are still some small things missing/incomplete (like the lack of a threshold on the transition from the kitchen/dining area to the living-room floor) but I have been wanting to post this stuff online.

It is very nice!

The grey kitty seems to be giving the O.K.! Oh, no, wait, that's the building inspector making a note about the work!

Yeah, they own the place, they just let us stay here because they like us. ;)

I dunno if you can tell in the photos or not - but the sill at the bottom of the large window in the living-room - it's like 12" wide so that the furry-ferociousness can sit there and sun herself and keep an eye on the world outside.

Ossum!
Now you can tell them darn kids to get off your lawn!

Seriously, owning actual real-estate property is a pretty hefty achievement. Congrats!

Looks fine to me, but the cat is definitely not impressed.

Do you have a work area/garage/shop?

You have excellent taste in aesthetics. Well done. Makes me wish my house wasn't 150+ years young!

Very nice. Somehow I would have expected your house to be... greasier. :D

I love all the different textures in each room. Along with many, many perches for kitties to survey their realm.

You should be proud, it looks quite classy.
