My wife studied with this guy and they still keep in touch. He just sent us the link to a story he shot in China for the San Jose Mercury; interesting topics raised and some fantastic images. Enjoy.

And that's just Beijing. China is a fascinating story, and though the West is growing more concerned about China, the Chinese people can't be blamed for feeling proud of their country. There's lots to wonder at with China, but much ugliness too. But one day, probably when the West starts to recover, China's gonna have their own economic mess to deal with--eventually. It's all cyclic.
Their real estate market is not much different from ours right near the peak. Then how will the Chinese people react when their downturn comes, and more importantly, how much uncertainty and instability will that bring to the region and the world?
