Lucid Dreaming

If you have a lucid dream, wake up and tell your friends about it, then wake up again, because the part where you were telling your friends about it was actually still in a dream. . . . were you having a lucid dream in the first place?

I had an awesome dream a couple mornings back where I realized I was dreaming and decided to have fun with it. I did the obvious: "I can fly!" which was fucking awesome. Then I decided it would be fun to ride a superbike up Windy Ridge. Unfortunately, whenever I leaned the bike over, it felt like I was leaning all the way through the ground. In my dream I got mad and thought "this isn't realistic feeling!"

Still, it was fun. I woke up and decided to post about it on the UTMC board . . . . but then I woke up again and I was still in bed.

Did I have a lucid dream, or did I dream about having a lucid dream?

My brain is stupid. Even when I realize I'm dreaming and try to control stuff, there's still the part of me that says "No, that wouldn't happen" and shuts it all down. :(

Coolest dream I ever had was a lucid dream.
SHort synopsis:

Oh shit, bad guys are after me!
Oh no, I'm trapped in this house by bad guys!
Awesome, I have managed to bust out of the house, but now the bad guys are chasing me!
Oh no, I'm running away, but can't seem to get anywhere!!!

Waaaaaiiiiit a second, this is one of those dreams where I'm running, but can't seem to get anywhere. I am just having a dream.

WELL SCREW THAT, THEN, I'M GONNA GO KICK SOME ASS!!!!!
Wait, why am I running back to kick some ass, WHEN I CAN FLY BACK TO KICK SOME ASS!?!?
I'M GONNA FLY BACK THERE, AND KICK SOME MOTHERFUCKING ASS!!!!

...I woke up right as I was about to fly through the front door of the house where the bad guys were. I'm pretty sure I got too excited about going and having an epic kung fu battle with some bad guys, and the adrenaline brought me out of sleep. Too bad, too, coz it woulda been jangleplatz!

What is particularly disturbing is having a lucid dream (or any particularly vivid dream, but lucid are the worst) in which I lose a limb, then wake up with my leg or arm asleep. It smears the line between wake and sleep then you're just al fockered up for half the morning.

Use the "old embed code" check box from the share options on youtube. Also, the video may not show up when you preview your post, they don't show up for me until I make the actual post.

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zKhEw7nD9C4?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zKhEw7nD9C4?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
