It's disturbing how many of his predictions from Fahrenheit have come true (especially TV wise).
But I'm glad that, instead of witnessing the inevitable end of the written word, he got to stick around long enough to see new technology giving the written word greater freedom than it ever had before.

Farewell, Sir. You created some of the century's greatest literature and most poignant political literature. Your name will live evermore.

And Asimov, Clarke, Dick, Heinlein...

Larry Niven is getting up there too...he's always been my favorite of all of them. Jackie turned me on to his Man-Kzin series, what fun!
