a) that's a long fucking train
b) kid was probably very lucky no stray hoses or the like were hanging down between cars
c) kid was doubly lucky he managed to jump out when he did and wasn't horribily mangled
d) kid was tripple lucky the train driver didn't see him lying on the track (otherwise, he probably would have stopped, wouldn't he? Didn't feel like it was slowing down like in an emergency brake and surely didn't sound like it.), otherwise he would have given the poor guy a heart attack
e) if there is justice, the kid's luck runs out at this point and the law gets to him. He probably won't learn anything, after all, nothing happened, so why is everybody so upset! Rail company are meanies, the cops are just robots, there's no humanity in these laws, he's the victim here dammit! And all that sort of nonsense, but still, he deserves some repercussions.

The railways are a serious affair, the livelihood of many depend on them and they are a vital part of any country's infrastructure. You may admire them from a distance but you don't ever fuck around with them. This kid need to be taught to respect that which serves him, usually unseen, every fucking day.

I about had a heart attack simply by watching the video. Especially at the end.

At first I didn't know what was going on, but that the cameraman explained that "this guy's under a fucking train." That was helpful.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why he decided not to just wait the thing out. Then again, if rational risk assessment was something this guy's brain was capable of, he wouldn't have laid down in the first place.

Back in college we used to go out at night and hang from the underside of a local rail bridge, maybe six to ten feet below the tracks themselves. We were usually pretty drunk, too. It was loud and greasy, and scary as shit the first time you did it, but given the distance from the actually death-inducing wheels we were relatively safe. Well, other than the risk of falling off the bridge into the Brazos river below. Nowhere near as stupid as this dumb fuck.
