Any police force patrolling on vehicles like these must be the good guys:

My interactions with the NYPD have almost always been positive. For whatever reason, they don't seem to have that huge chip on their shoulders that so many other cops do.

It's true. While I've never really incurred the wrath of the NYPD, they're generally more friendly and human than cops elsewhere. Don't believe me? Cross the river into NJ and fart. The NJSP will be up your ass like a suppository in nothing flat.

Wasn't there just a big scandal with the NYPD, something about deliberately losing reports and ignoring complaints to keep crime statistics low?
in Nashville they ride Ruckuses
Or at least did when I was there (and were also very nice).

Theory: Cops that actually have shit to do, are more friendly to the common folk than the Barney Fifes in small towns. Partially a Fish and Bowl issue I think. In Det (downtown) you can get away with anything, and in the metro as long as you dont make any sudden moments the po are generally fairly decent. As a general guide, the smaller the town, and the less from there you are, the more the LEO will be a total ass to you.
Watching the vid... do we, as a biker whole, have awards for decentness and accommodation ? What i would hate to see Is this fine fellow get hammered post vid, by some anti-motorcyclist group, or just an anti-common sense group.

Nice. All made sense. The cop thought outside his sphere. No one got maligned and one person benefited. No harm. Good for him.
Bagger's still probably sitting there though.

Nah, I just rechecked, it's a two-wheeler.
