I'm sure his insurance company will be very happy for the simplicity of that one...

He really couldn't have aimed any better if it had been on purpose. I particularly like image #19 with Wavebro flying backwards through the air his arms stretched out towards the bike-so poignant.
Too bad about the Vette, being the lighter vehicle it probably took a good hit.

The bags and cases are what really makes me sad, the guy was probably genuinely travelling and not just bragging around on his shiny chopper. They he has to find his way home with a broken bike and a sore butt.

The Kodak effect in full blossom! Wow, that was just, painful to click through. It really doesn't take much of a distraction to get into serious shit in a serious haste does it?

Extreme sports photography indeed. I give him a 9.2 because he just didn't make the landing stick.
Oh, Pattio, hilarious!

around 9 or 10 be may have been on the frame. Not that that is an excuse for the previous, or what happens after, but may be worth a note. I'd say target fixation was a major issue here.
Watch that Vet move sideways! Thats what I call the transfer of kinetic energy in an elastic collision, bitches

love the .gif!
The kodak effect is ugly. I've been up HWY 1 a few times recently where someone appears to be doing their best "rnickymouse" or "killboy" impression. There's a paper sign saying there's a camera ahead then, sure as hell, a group of peeps on the pull out taking pics.
To me, they are encouraging even more asshattery than we usually see up there. Just like Mulhullond Drive, every nitwit that blows through there now is trying to get a knee to scrape. It's not that kind of turn and it leads to a tight twisty bit around the bend. Yep, there's going to be a lot of plastic debris on the side of the road soon.

To be fair to that guy, his bike looks like it had about as much lean when it ground out as mine does on it's sidestand. I'd crash that thing turning off my street! But, to be
fair to that guy, it's his fucking bike and he should know it's capabilities (or debilities).

Here's me waving at Killboy Darren, never took my eyes off the road even though I was riding like an old lady on the way to Sunday service.

I must have missed the perfect bike--all I saw was the white whale doing something that dumb yahoo should have known not to. Dumb cracker.

I presume he meant it was in perfect condition, or brand new, not that it was Plato's ideal motorcycle of which all other sickles are mere distorted shadows.

looking at the Gif I got a better idea of what happened, seems he panicked mid-corner and stood the bike up...

Having never seen one of these cameras, just how does this guy's setup work? Is it an automated system? There seems to be many shots of truly uninspiring rides. Look at the car/truck section. It seems he photo'ed anybody making that bend, including folks just passing through maybe on their daily drives. Is this just an unmanned target tracking setup? I just don't see a persons thought path that says, "Here is a minivan closing at a truly conservative speed, I bet that person would like a photo line of their driving!"

Unless things have changed recently, I believe there's a guy manning the camera, taking pictures of every vehicle that passes. The thought is that the Tail of The Dragon is kind of out of the way, so most of the traffic are there for the road itself, and therefore might like some pictures of their vehicle there, even it is somewhat unimpressive.
