Not sure why I find this ridiculously funny. I don't even know what they are saying, being German-deficient.

... okay, I'm not even gonna try.
The simple jokes, they are often the bestest, aren't they.
Let's just say, we can legally manufacture compound words not possible in the English.
There's a vegetable, the rhubarb, we call it Rhabarber. There's a common female first name, Barbara.
The rest should be pretty clear, what with the illustrations.

Now that it's grammatically correct it's even better!
Instead of the English "run-on" sentence, they are doing it with a word.

I loved this. I recall exactly enough German to have gotten the joke, but I really don't think knowing the language is at all needed for this gag.
