Regarding tattoos

About fifteen years ago I got a tattoo, like sailors do. Swallow, upper right breast to kind of balance out some other stuff. These are usually done in pairs.
Swung by a shop yesterday and spoke to them about getting the other one done. The one I have is just flash art really. They said they could just take a picture of it and copy it on the other side. The guy I spoke to also mentioned that it'd be difficult to get the colors to match since the original is somewhat faded, like tattoos get after years. Totally reasonable, but then he said for an extra fifty bucks they'd touch up the color on that one at the same time. Not sure if that's legit. I said thanks and left, said I'd think about it.

I looked up their website and there aren't any examples of their work anywhere that I could see.

Website is here:

Then I thought, well hell I could get to Bawlmore and have Priest do it, since I have a job pending there anyway but that seems like a PITA when these guys are right up the street and they made it seem simple enough.

Thoughts, opinions?

Go to Bawlmer, say hi to Priest for us. And yes get the old tat brightened up. My daughter has mirror-image tattoos on her shoulders but got them a few years apart, and once the new one healed the difference in their darkness was striking, so she went back to touch up the first.
Good luck.

Priest does some great work. The touch up suggestion/pricing seem legit.

If you can go see Brothah Scott, do. I actually owe him a visit soon. I'm overdue. Let me know when you'd be going and I'll try to get free. I'll buy you one of the beers I owe you. ;)

That said, $50 for a touchup like that does seem pretty reasonable. Generous, even. I glanced over their website, looks like they do good work. *shrug*

Either way, you're reminding me that I have an itch that needs scratched.

Cool. Yeah it looks like I'm too busy to get away and he's in Frederick anyway, so not exactly B'more. It's fucking hot here and I cannot brain.
One of my crew just gave notice, so it's going to get more intense here than I anticipated.
