I rode my 750cc today.

Its initial shakedown revealed half a dozen problems, some slightly annoying (broken speedo cable, rear preload dangerously low, lots of the back end bolts have a tendancy to rattle loose) one downright fucking dangerous... (i can clamp on the front brakes at standstill and shove the bike down through the forks entire suspension travel. )

but once i got them sorted i took it for a spin...



I gave it some stick and FUCK ME why did i ever let my bike lapse rego... im used to a 250cc ujm with 75000km's on the odo... this is a 750cc Kawasaki GPZ 750... i opened it up in first... the rear squatted and inertia ... gravity.... physics.....

Ah, memories of my 82 gpz750 came flooding back! I rode the wheels off that thing! For serious fun try a gpz 1100! Massive torque and a fibreglass flexiframe!

cant wait to get mine sorted out swirtched the rear shocks and lost an inch and a half or more out of the rear ...foreward controls next and paint n shes runnin

the forks were fixed free... I remembered they were air adjustable... a quick trip across the road (god i love being 30 meters from a service station) and the front end is tighter than anal sex with a mermaid. the rear is being a pain, but its nowhere near as noticeable as the front.

the speedo they cant check for registration (not allowed to ride them to test roadworthy after some guy dropped a Busa with a custom paintjob and lots of chrome when "testriding" so now its stationary checks only

three degrees n snow here and im trying to figure out how to get mine on the road

just got back in from a refreshing 10 degree ride the roads aint bad but the 25 mph wind is a bitch specially whippin around the buildings ...but it was a good ride i love it when people just look at me slack jawed
