The annoying thing

I've done a similar dance, but it doesn't work as well for me.

[edit]WARNING: Little blue guy pretending to ride a 2 stroke scooter. Apparently very common in banal media outlets, probably hit Europe extensively. I can easily see the novelty wearing off, but Hella cool at first. Bio is interesting.

[Poll edit] So, I'm sitting at home in south Denver, and I hook up the scanner for fun. I hear them talking about finally moving planes around at DIA, but nothing can fly yet. A buddy stops off and I say, "So, what happened at DIA?" He said, "It's because they bombed New York." I sez, "Fuck you, what's up at DIA."

And so, on 9/14 I become the last person on earth to hear about the beginning of the end of all civil liberties in America.

Hence my poll question, am I really the last to hear about everything?

Oh, for god's sake!
For the last couple of months, espescially on the music station like MTV, where there are no other commercials than for mobile phone ringtones and shit like that, this stupid video has been pandered at least two or three times every commercial break.
You can get the soundtrack as ringtone, you can get the video as an animated logo, you can have the video-ringtone, and it's always fucking everywhere! One moment, you are watching marylin manson being full of himself on MTV masters, the next moment there is this video in a commercial and some dipshit tells you to call some stupid number to get the "cult ringtone"......it makes me wanna kill!

I guess I don't immerse myself in pop media. First I've ever seen it was today, and I searched the site for earlier referrence.

If you knew it so well, you shouldn't have clicked on it.

:P

From the website, yes.

I thought it was really cool because it was an organic creation.

The sound had a life of its own, before being tied to the animation, before being exploited for ringtones.
the creator wrote:I didn't reflect on the fact that I didn't know who created the sound until I was encouraged to put the animation up on my site. A friend sent it to me as an mp3 file some years ago. When I finished the animation I didn't know who to credit for the sound, so I put it as a question in the end credits.

--yadda yadda--------

Apparently he was oblivious to the fact that his sound had spread around the internet, even before the Annoying Thing. He told me that he didn't actually make that sound as a joke at first, but as a serious attempt to imitate the 2-stroke engine of a moped of his.
As Paul Harvey would say "And now you know...the...REST of the story."
