Philip K. Dick
The brilliant yet trashy master of the reality warp always left you unsure of what was real, but never forgot compassion.

You are: 1% Republican.
You're a complete liberal, utterly without a trace of Republicanism. Your strength is as the strength of ten because your heart is pure. (You hope.)

David Brin

Bestselling producer of impossible-to-put-down epic adventures in a far-flung future.

%8 Republican...must have been my answer to Social Security

I'm 'sposed to be:

William Gibson

(MAYBE if I chain smoked like he does and don't eat for a year, I could look more like him)

and I'm 4% Republican according to that test. (not specific enough)

I am 60% Republican. Congratulations, you're a swing voter. When they say "Nascar Dad", they mean you. Every Republican ad on the TV set was made just for your viewing pleasure. Don't you feel special?

ummm...

um...

I get to be William Gibson too, and given the stuff I like to read, I'm happy with that.

Now the other thing: 49% Republican?!? Apparently when they say "Soccer Mom", they mean me. WTF?

I'm surprised to have gotten this response
ImageWilliam Gibson

The chief instigator of the "cyberpunk" wave of the 1980s, his razzle-dazzle futuristic intrigues were, for a while, the most imitated work in science fiction.

I was hoping for P.K. Dick, who'se work I actually am very fond of. Maybe I should just do lots of speed for a while...perhaps not.

I'm a bit taken back by this too, not at all what I expected:

Arthur C. Clarke

Well known for nonfiction science writing and for early promotion of the effort toward space travel, his fiction was often grand and visionary.

Alfred Bester
A pyrotechnic talent who put only a small portion of his energy into writing.

Alfred Bester, the science fiction who was both cool and obscure enough to have Babylon 5 name a psycop after him!

I'm very sorry to report that I haven't read any of Bester's works yet. Just checked my Sci-Fi shelf and ... yup, no Bester. What would be a good book to start with?
Also very sorry for bringing Ashcroft upon you guys! That wasn't in my intent, honest .....

I'm just thinking that true Marxists are indeed a very reactionary bunch, aren't they?

Well, I had the misfortune to recently have dealings with members of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany. React is about all they are capable of, never in my entire short life did I meet such concept- and innovationless, vapid leader-following attention parasites.

Isaac Asimov

One of the most prolific writers in history, on any imaginable subject. Cared little for art but created lasting and memorable tales.

Hmmm...maybe building the killer robots isn't such a bad idea after all. I guess I should make them liberal killer robots though. Liberal, motorcycle riding, killer robots.
