When the TV producers tell them "You are going to space!" of course people will believe it! Remember all those golddiggers who fell for that phony millionaire?
Of course, the contestants will have to be screened thoroughly for lack of intelligence and knowledge, but with any luck they will have an impostor among the ranks who pretends to be dumb and then just pops open the airlock and walks out...
As long as people remain eager to get on the telly, the producers are gonna find gullible idiots willing to be made of fool of in front of the public.

A friend of mine recently got herself a TV for the first time in over five years. When she just zapped around she couldn't believe what she saw...TV is getting more grotesque on an exponential curve.
I can hardly expect to see what the next ten years are gonna bring. Personally I blame it on that Dutch fella who invented Big Brother.
