- Turns out boozing will make you live longer
- They stopped making Buells
- Wide World of Sports and American Chopper have been cancelled
- Apple is now making telephones
- They made a "The Simpsons" movie!
- Turns out house prices could go down after all. And Fast!
- Michael Jackson is dead!

Some things, however, have stayed the same, so it's not all culture shock:

- Osama Bin Laden is still at large
- The war in Afghanistan is still going on and combat operations in Iraq are over. Again. Really, this time they mean it! Those 50k soldiers left there are just "advising".
- America is still best buddies with the Chinese Politburo
